Taking place between January 29th and 31st, 2008, our 6th International Conference on Imagination and Education: "Imaginative practice, imaginative inquiry" will be at Rydges Hotel by the Lake in Canberra, Australia.
The Imaginative Education Research Group (IERG) and Learning Communities Research Area, University of Canberra invite you to join us in our aim to stimulate discussion of imaginative education and its applications in all sites of learning, and to ensure that educational experiences are imaginatively engaging for both teachers and learners.
The conference theme "Imaginative practice, imaginative inquiry" aims to connect a cross-section of educators and administrators from elementary & high schools, universities, professional organisations and work-place settings in a dialogue and exploration of imaginative and creative ways of teaching, learning and conducting educational inquiry.
Participants are invited to submit their proposal to one of the following tracks:
1. Evaluating imaginative learning
2. Imagination in science and/or mathematics teaching
3. Imagination in arts and/or humanities
4. Imagination across the curriculum
5. Research and theory in imaginative education
6. Unexplored territories and new frontiers
